Imaging at home in Kolkata: which scans can come to you
Some imaging in Kolkata can be done at home when the centre marks it. Many scans still need the centre. Check the listing before you keep a patient fasting.
People ask me for an MRI at home. I have to say no, kindly, and then explain what can come. A big machine does not climb a Kolkata staircase. Some imaging can. X-ray in selected cases, ECG, and other tests a centre has equipped for travel. The list is the centre's list, not a wish.

Before the team arrives
Confirm the test name with the doctor who ordered it. 'Chest X-ray' and 'CT chest' are different buildings, sometimes different days. Keep the patient in clothes that are easy to move. Metal, jewellery, and a full meal can spoil some studies. The centre's instruction, if they sent one, wins over a neighbour's tip.
Have the old films or the CD. Comparison is how a doctor knows if this is new.
After the picture
A picture is not a diagnosis. Take it back to the doctor, at home or in clinic. If the person is more breathless while you wait for the report, do not wait politely. Go in.
Book imaging on Clinisio Care. Choose home only where it is marked. For everything else, go to the centre that can do it properly. A clear report from the right machine is worth the trip.
